On May 24th Saturn moved from Pisces, the last of the 12 signs, into Aries, the first of the 12 signs opening the door to the next 29 1/2-year cycle of Reality, Consequential Change, and New Structures that both support and reveal what’s next.
The last beginning of Saturn’s cycle through the Zodiac was in 1996 when Saturn last entered Aries. What has changed, worked, failed, restructured, evolved, opened or closed since 1996 for each of us individually and all of us collectively? The world of 2025 is vastly different than the world of 1996 in both positive and seemingly negative ways. This time reveals where we are not in order to know where we are going, where we can go.
Aries is the sign of birth, infancy, instinct, primal knowing, full trust of the needs and desires of the Self. Infants cry when they need food, rest, comfort, connection with no self consciousness questioning whether their needs are valid or will be met. Aries is the natural self knowing and trusting itself as it is. Aries is the I Am!
This is the time, the call to return to our natural self – what do I want, what do I need, do I trust myself, my body, my deepest desires. Who am I? Who am I becoming? While Saturn is generally and correctly understood to be responsibility, maturity, security, commitment, follow through, limitation, difficulty and discipline, it is also importantly the strength, resilience, achievement, effort, determination to become who we are most capable of being, our truest self without limitation.
This is a time to return to profound trust of our physical need for rest, healthy food, enjoyment of physical activity, personal development, and pleasure. It is time to ever more deeply ground ourselves in our bodies, our root chakra, our earth. It is the courage to be ourselves, to know what we want and what we don’t want, to say yes to what we desire and want, to say no to what we don’t want, no longer need or feel obligated to do or be.
The Bible and all Metaphysical Truth teaches us to “be not afraid”. The courage of Aries grounded in the reality of who we are and becoming is the power to enter consciously and joyfully the Evolutionary Leap that is both needed to birth a new world and is underway right now. As Saturn’s move into Aries meets Neptune in Aries between now and February 2025, the world is evolving at a pace never before seen or possible; it is now possible, but we must become the ones who imagine and build that new future for humanity.
Yes, it is necessary to look realistically at what is and what isn’t working in our lives, in our world. It is necessary to feel all the myriads of emotions that are natural responses to “what is” right now. Yet our desires, choices, and actions can best be guided by aligning with what our heart and soul truly want. Yes, each of us has made mistakes, has limitations, feels fear, feels regrets, knows the shadow of Saturn, however, the Saturn is here to show us the resistance within us that limits our ability to evolve into our best, most powerful, most dynamic, most courageous self-acting on our deepest knowing of who we are becoming.
“Be Not Afraid” reminds us and renews our faith in the divine potential of our species evolving into a new iteration of human beyond the current Homo Sapiens that we have been. We are surely the caterpillars emerging from our cocoons to fly free as the butterflies we truly are. This is the Age of Aquarius freedom to begin the world again with the vision of Neptune in Aries supported by the active engagement of Saturn in Aries in the great work of evolution. We are here!
