As Venus met the Sun on January 2nd, a 13 day introduction to the end of the past and the beginnings of the World that is dawning on February 20th began. On January 3rd the first Full Moon of 2026 arrived in Capricorn/Cancer with the Sun between Venus and Mars – a triple conjunction that occurs once approximately every 6 1/2 years. From January 2nd to the 15th, a grand cross in cardinal signs moved into place joining the 4 cardinal signs – Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn – in a dynamic, formation that will activate the year, the dying past, and the dawning future.

If we also add the position of Uranus conjunct the fixed star Algol (unseating powerful people, heads of state and governments), the accelerating changing of the old guard will become more and more evident. The grand cross formed by the Sun and Mars in Capricorn, Jupiter in Cancer, Chiron in Aries and the Moon in Libra which was building in early January became exact on 1/10 dissipating into the 15th as the activation of the people of our world is and will be acting/leading the march forward to a future based on collective benefit for All through a growing, global activation of the heart centered truth of our core consciousness as caring, compassionate, connected beings. The cross will also trigger an activation of our old wounds as they rage against the growing recognition that their time is passing.

The Full Moon on the 3rd introduced the Sun, our light, to a new balance between the Feminine Venus and the Masculine Mars revealing the next stage of the foundation of our path forward to integrating the Sacred Feminine (love, beauty, receptivity, intuition, abundance, creativity, vulnerability) with the Sacred Masculine (strength, intelligence, leadership, protection, power, wisdom, caring); these are archetypal qualities equally accessible by both men and women, equally necessary for the men and women of the world we are birthing.

As the grand cross developed it highlighted the degrees of the 2020 Jupiter/Saturn/Pluto conjunction completing the 6-year incubation period preparing humanity for the full awareness of our connectedness and interdependent future. It is not a coincidence that Renee Good was murdered only blocks from the block where George Floyd was murdered in 2020. It is not a coincidence that George Floyd was a Black Man while Renee Good was a White Woman – negating the value of any human life renders us all to the same fate regardless of race, gender, or citizenship.

It is also not a coincidence that Nicholas Maduro was captured by the United States on 1/3 at the Full Moon or that Renee Good was killed on 1/7 as we approached the Grand Cross on 1/10 or that the troops, both MN National Guard lawfully activated by Governor Walz and Federal troops put on alert to deploy by President Trump is unfolding the weekend of the New Moon. This is the confrontation between the past/abuse of power/the energy of domination and the future/power of loving protection/solidarity as the New Moon is in Capricorn at late degrees struggles to reassert the past, to regain control/justify its abuses (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars together at 26-28 degrees) while Venus (heart and love) is moving into the future of Aquarius. This month’s violence here and abroad is the flailing failure of using Mars to force, punish, destroy and conquer when we are moving into Mars as the power to wisely organize, lead and protect – from the negative/unconscious Mars to the positive/conscious Mars ready to integrate/collaborate with the Feminine.

This week the Sun, Mercury and Mars move into Aquarius joining Venus and Pluto to create a powerful force supporting the new world we are building. On January 27th Neptune moves from Pisces into Aries turning us toward and opening the flood of higher Heart/Soul awareness initiating Humanity’s Future.
