February 1, 2026, is the Full Moon of the Sun in Aquarius with the Moon in Leo as we see the gathering of the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Pluto in Aquarius which has been building “our coming together” since January 20th when the Sun moved into Aquarius. While the Sun yearly enters Aquarius in January, Mercury and Venus may be close, Mars isn’t usually near Aquarius then and Pluto has never joined the Aquarius gathering since we discovered it in 1930 bringing humanity to the awareness of Power, to the capacity to actively know and consciously activate our power individually and collectively. This is launch time for our new world.

The Moon is in Leo bringing our individual and collective hearts into a new coherence with our minds - a heart centered intelligence is foundational for a humane society and world. The Full Moon opposition of the masculine Sun and the Feminine Moon unite, complement and integrate head and heart, activates the individual/personal self and the collective/interpersonal self of service in mutual cooperation.

This Full Moon, Neptune now in the Aries fire sign of renewal/creation, the planetary gathering of 5 planets in Aquarius ready for the heart frequency upgrade already unfolding now focused through the Moon in Leo, is preparing us all for the middle of February when we will have a New Moon in Aquarius on February 17th which is the first Eclipse of 2026 magnifying the Aquarian frequency, the 17th is also the Chinese New Year bringing us the year of the Fire Horse for the first time since 1966, is also the beginning of the Muslim Holy Month of Ramadan, followed by the historic meeting of Saturn and Neptune at the Creation degree on February 20th, followed by Mercury turning retrograde on February 26th in the first of the 3 2026 retrogrades. WHEW!

Additionally, February 1st is the traditional holiday/celebration of IMBOLC marking the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox on March 20th. IMBOLC is the ancient recognition that the glimmer of light in the darkness of the Winter Solstice is now brightening. It is celebrated by lighting candles, lighting bonfires, hosting candlelight dinners, enjoying music, gathering in nature to welcome the coming Spring. This Spring is the yearly renewal of Nature, the personal renewal/reflection on our own journey, and a Collective Renewal of Humanity of many thousands of years. February turns its face to the pure potentiality of the Future. All of this energy/movement does have a shadow of agitation, reactiveness, anger, potential violence, and resistance to what is being born, however, we can turn our faces to the future, we can envision, we can act, we can love with a full Leo heart, we can gather together in acts of love not violence whether in our homes or our streets, we can dance and sing, we can pray.
