On Sunday September 7th the Moon will be full – the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces will oppose one another bringing us the brightest light of this lunar month. Each 29 1/2-day lunar cycle reaches the opposition between the Sun and Moon when the Moon moves from waxing (increasing its light) to waning (decreasing its light) which is the maximum creative moment of each lunar cycle correlating with the in and out breath of our universe. This is a powerful moment to be present, to hold our highest intention for ourselves and our world, to open fully to all that is no longer needed or impedes our full potential, to release as we open to conscious receptivity to all that is possible. 

This full moon is amplified/empowered by the additional power of being an eclipse, then amplified further by this lunar eclipse being a total eclipse whose period of totality will last just over 80 minutes. While this lunar eclipse is not visible in the United States it is visible in much of the rest of the world, particularly Asia and Africa. This total lunar eclipse last visited us in September 2006. 

It is illuminating to consider what you were experiencing then, how you have grown and evolved in the intervening 19 years as well as what your potential future can become in the next 18-19 years before this lunar eclipse visits us again. Learning to and choosing to utilize these Cosmic moments of exceptional, energetic possibility for our evolution accelerates our evolution into our full potential. 

The Virgo/Pisces axis is a fulfillment of our Soul intention to live an ever more perfected, more full expression of our spiritual destiny. Pisces is the realm of our relationship to the Divine, to the recognition that we are divine, eternal souls living temporarily in our Virgo bodies/works/daily expressions of that inherent divinity. The Virgo nature is perfect which is the realization that we are perfectly imperfect at every moment in our human lives and forms. 

Life is a continual movement from yesterday’s best to today’s best to tomorrow’s best. The day-to-day actions, efforts, and service we choose can become more a conscious expression of our soul guidance. Getting it “right” is the knowing that right alignment of our thoughts, our feelings, and our actions with our soul potential offers us ease and peace even in the hardest circumstances. We were born “enough”, we are “enough”, and tomorrow’s “enough” will be a more refined “enough”.

We are so supported, so ready to move beyond self-doubt/insecurity/withering criticism which are all shadows of an unintegrated Virgo belief and behavior pattern disconnected from its companion Pisces soul wisdom full of love, grace and mercy.
