On July 7th Uranus began its 7+ year journey through Gemini for the first time since August 9, 1941. A study of the 84-year cycle of Uranus reveals the path of breakthroughs in human consciousness. For the United States Uranus is has been our guide awakening the promise of Freedom and Liberty at our Founding as an independent, self-governing country; returning to Gemini to awaken the Abolition Movement to fulfill more of the promise of freedom in the Civil War battle to include all men in the freedom guaranteed by the Declaration of Independence; returning again to the recognition of the necessity for the United States to step forward to defeat Fascism in World War Two and establish a world order founded on a United Nations dedicated to world freedom and peace.

Who shall we be now as Americans witness an assault on our freedom and liberty? What is awakening now? Who deserves freedom?

Let’s first look more deeply at the power of an idea which has been the animating force at each iteration of Uranus in Gemini in our history. The United States is unique in its founding on an idea not on blood, soil, tribe, ethnicity or religion – the idea of freedom. At our founding freedom was established for white, European, men of property while slaves would be counted in our Constitution as 3/5 of a person; at the Civil War the Abolition Movement had established a belief that slavery was wrong/evil and that we could no longer live half free and half slaves and slave owners; during the isolationist period after World War One Fascism gained a foothold in Europe that spread quickly to threaten Europe and the world focusing the American people on the reality that the idea we could live separately from the world protected by our oceans was no longer possible and the recognition that the U.S. must become part of the world and could lead the world to a collective agreement to work together to prevent another war. Now in a globally connected world order our politics, economies, climate, diseases, social media connect us all yet there is a resistance in the U.S. to remain engaged in the benefits and the troubles of the globe, a desire to isolate while maintaining our power in the global order.

The old order established in the 1940’s, during Uranus’s last transit in Gemini, of U.S. leadership, of peaceful resolution through voting and agreement in the UN, the dominance of the dollar as the world’s currency, the responsibility of the U.S. to provide protection, nuclear guarantees for Europe, the power of the NATO alliance, the CIA and U.S. intelligence and military supremacy being essential to world peace; that order, is being challenged here and abroad. Has the old order failed, become obsolete, or is a new order being born?

What is the IDEA that Uranus is birthing now in the United States? It is not separating from a tyrannical King; it is not living up to the promise of recognizing all of us as humans with Constitutional rights; it is not being willing to step up to our role as a world leader/ power.

It is recognizing the role our Founders envisioned for the United States to become a living light to advance the fundamental value of human potential. That role was the esoteric purpose guided by the light of the star Spica to seek to become a model continually perfecting the promise of the evolution of humanity.

Yes, the United States has serious problems, challenges and work to do to perfect ourselves and our own country as does the rest of the world, however, the true purpose was and is to model the commitment to the work of fulfilling that purpose; to model what we can be knowing the power of the light of Freedom in the hearts of all of humanity.
