One of the first principles of Spiritual Teachings I learned was “All the power that ever was or will be is here now”.  I have spent decades pondering on this great, liberating truth. There is nothing to get, nothing denied to us, nothing we cannot become. This is the principle of awakening to the truth of our divine nature, our full creative power, our eternality. We were born whole, we are whole. We were born expressions of divine consciousness; we are expressions of divine consciousness.

Yes, we forget this truth, we get hurt, we make mistakes, others tell us who we are and are not, who we can be and who we cannot be. Know thyself said the ancient Greeks, be here now say the awareness teachers, the present is all there is we are told since the past is over and the future hasn’t happened. These truths are the foundation of the journey of awakening, of the spiritual path – to remember who we are and what we are capable of now and always. And, yes, we all need healing, love, support, and connection along the way but we most need to remember that we are now and always pure potentiality.

As we begin to remember, a wholly different future opens to us. Timing also matters personally on our individual journeys of awakening and evolutionary time matters more than we have been taught to consider. Each individual’s journey is personally soul planned before we incarnate.  The soul plan is fully aligned with the individual journey readying to meet the moment of evolutionary time when our purpose is needed and contributes to evolutionary awakening of humanity/the whole. This is the gift of the Age of Aquarius when our imagination, our deepest inklings of knowing, our full potential as eternal consciousness living temporarily in form is now activating into world awareness.

I remember a moment when I was 11 years old feeling quite certain I would live to 120 years. At that age I didn’t know the average or expected life span. I just knew. When I voiced my clear knowing as I experienced it, I was told that was foolish and unrealistic. Years later when I had long forgotten that young experience of clear knowing I found many references in many traditions that 120 years was the natural life span of human beings. Will I live to be 120? I don’t know but I do remember how clear and certain that knowing felt to me. How many of our early experiences of knowing, imaginings, dreams were dismissed by others or society. It’s time to dream again, to believe, to be open to the greatest possible future our soul knows.
